DISK CLEANER
1) Select Drive to Clean - Choose the drive you want to clean. This will no erase any files, but will remove any file remains that are still on the HD. |
2)Drive Data - This shows the statistics for the selected HD. Just for information. |
3)Number of Passes - How many time do you want each sector of the HD cleaned. For HD under 2GB in size three (3) is a good number, setting this option too high will take a long time to finish. |
4)Block Size - Sure Delete cleans HD in little pieces - 'blocks'. Depending on the size, and speed of your HD a different option may give you faster speed. Try different options to find the optimal setting for you. |
Note: Windows 98/ME/XP/2000 users may see a warning message display just before Sure Delete completes its operations. This warning message lets you know about low free disk space on the drive thatÆs being cleared. This is normal; you can dismiss it by clicking the Cancel button. |
FILE CLEANER
1) Files Pending - Add files you want to delete to this list. You could add a folder or a file at a time. If you delete the same set of files over and over you can save the list of files and just load it next time you run Sure Delete. |
2)Cleaning Strength - Depending on your need of security, you can trade speed for quality. The higher the quality the longer it will take. Note: The most secure options takes a REALLY long time. |
